This style has been a landing trend for quite a while and it seems like it will stay on for a little longer, making it a timeless trending theme.
There are quite a few ideas which can be adopted for this particular theme but the most important one which glues everything together is finding that perfect venue for it. It needs to shout rustic all the way. Lots of greenery, possibly with wooden beams and sparks of pastels every now and again.
We have quite a few of these venues in Malta which can combine both rustic and garden weddings themes together, but there is this lovely venue in Malta’s sister island, which is the perfect venue for those who might want to cross the extra mile and get married in a quieter spot on the island of the three hills or better known as Gozo.
Weddings in Gozo are just as popular as those in the main land Malta. Couples do request venues in both islands and although only a 20 minute boat ride away this island is nothing like big sister Malta. Gozo is laid back, quaint, charming and has lots of potential when it comes to weddings.
Back to this venue… I had the opportunity to host a few weddings here, and the place is very well known with locals. I am talking about Ta Frenc.
Not only the food is absolutely divine, but the people who run this place are extremely accommodating, they make sure one gets all the details expected for a wonderful and special day.
With a lovely outdoor area where one could opt to have the wedding ceremony under a carob tree and the wedding celebrations in the courtyard surrounded by greenery in the nearby fields, with white wooden shutter doors, gives that perfect backdrop for a romantic picture. What’s reassuring is that no matter what mother nature decides to throw the wedding can still happen in the same space booked, this is because the outdoor area is covered with a retractable clear glass marquee to guarantee peace of mind.
