Winter weddings in Malta

Winter weddings in Malta

As a wedding destination, Malta is mainly considered the ideal country of choice because of the warm climate. Luckily for us locals, our winters are very mind and sudden temperature changes are not that common.

Malta and Gozo should also be considered as a winter destination. A few facts and positive points to keep in mind are also listed below:

Besides the many beautiful spaces available for outdoor weddings, we are luck to have an equal balance of stunning indoor venues, from palaces to farmhouses to modern Hotel suites and towers to name a few.

You are most likely going to avail yourselves form a nice discount. This is due to the fact that winter weddings are not as common, come October the wedding season is pretty much at it’s end.

Think about the favorite time of the year – Christmas. You can theme your wedding meal around the most traditional of meals, using the heart filling ingredients such as butternut squash, cranberries, turkey, traditional roast potatoes, Christmas puddings and much more…

With the nights drawing in, you can start that bit sooner, meaning you have longer to enjoy your big day! Dress up your venue and get the atmosphere going from the moment dusk sets in. Using  fairy-lights to create a magical scene and remember you can dress up exterior trees too, use candles to light walkways outside and if your budget stretches to it, why not have a firework display for that extra bling.

Finding venues more available is also another known fact. Your guests will also find it easier to get accommodation locally and may decide to have a mini winter break as a result.
